Educational Technology Sites for Teachers

4Teachers is a great site for teachers who are looking for specific techonology tools.  They have many links to helpful websites such as Rubistar, Assign-a-Day, Think Tank, QuizStar, and many more.  They have also created a subsite that has technology integration tools such as Use Policies and Safety, Technology Assessments, and Spanish Resources.  If that wasn't enough, they have a page for educators that include professional journals, grant resources, and special needs.

Edutopia was founded by The George Lucas Educational Foundation.  Its mission is to transform the learning process by providing a plethora of resources for teachers.  They focus on comprehensive assessment, integrated studies, project-based learning, social and emotional learning, and teacher development, and technology integration.

EdTechTeacher is a leader in educational technology.  They host many conferences throughout the year and around the United States, including the lasted iPad Summit.  There are many links to innovative projects and lesson, links to tech tools, math and science links, information on learning with mobiles, assessment tools, presentation software and resources, and so much more.  The only way to learn about all the resources on this site is to visit it.

Edudemic has infinite resources.  While exploring this site, I came across the list of 50 Educational Tools That Every Teacher Should Know About.  It is the most comprehensive list I have come across.  It includes links and a short summary of how to use it in a classroom.  It is full of best practices and articles on emerging educational technologies.

ePals is a global community that is great for collaborating with teachers and students from all over the world.  The nature of the site already is technology-based.  This would be a great website for creating lessons that are student-interest based.  Teachers and students both receive email accounts to help collaborate with others.

Tammy's Technology Tips for Teachers is a one-stop shop.  She has included links to tons of teacher websites and other internet resources.  My favorite part of her site is the Tip of the Week.  Each week she discusses a new technology tip, shortcut, tool, or lesson.  You can even subscribe to her tips to get them emailed to you every week.  This site is a true resource for teachers!
